We are so excited to meet you and have you join our member family.
Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center is a 100% membership-based family practice clinic and counseling center.
What does “membership-based” mean?
It means that we do not process insurance, but everything we do is done via a flat membership fee paid directly to us each month. This allows us the freedom to care for our members in a way that focuses on your health rather than pleasing an insurance company.
Membership costs are:
- Individual only (regardless of age): $125 monthly
- Couple: $225 monthly
- Single Parent Family (1 adult and up to 5 children age 26 or younger): $195 monthly
- Family (2 adults and up to 5 children age 26 or younger): $295 monthly
Do you have a business, or know of one that may be interested in membership? We have group plans available to employer groups – contact us for more information or fill out our business inquiry form.

[accordion clicktoclose=true tag=h3] [accordion-item title=”Will you accept my insurance?” state=closed]In short, no. It’s honestly for the better, though! You can still be a member of our clinic and use your insurance for other specialists, hospital needs, etc. You’ll find that our membership helps save you a lot of time, frustration and money in the end – even if you have it alongside your current health insurance plan.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”What is included with membership?” state=closed]We promise same or next-day appointments if you’re sick or injured, unlimited appointments, access to at-cost medications / labs / X-rays at our clinic, 24/7 on-call access for emergencies, and much more. Our goal is to keep you healthy, offer an excellent, personalized healthcare experience, and prevent you from paying more than you should for medical costs. We find that people end up seeing us 3-5 times more than they typically see their primary care provider because they have excellent access to us. We also know that we save people a TON of money (in 2021, we saved our members around $1.4 million on medications alone!).
You’ll find that we’re able to spend a little more time with you than normal, can see you more often when necessary, and offer true urgent care when you need it the most.
[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”What does 24/7 On-Call Emergency Access mean?” state=closed]Of our four providers, one of them is always on-call and accessible to our membership via telephone – 24/7.This on-call service is reserved for emergency sickness or injury, not for other non-urgent needs such as medication refills, scheduling, etc. Some examples of the appropriate use of calling after-hours may include… sudden sickness of a child, cuts that may need stitches, possible broken bones, sudden sickness, etc.
We do not promise to meet our patients in-person after hours, and may need to send after-hours calls to the emergency room. But, if we do send our patients to the emergency room, know that you have consulted with a professional and they are directing you to the best care possible while keeping issues of cost in mind.

[accordion-item title=”What if I, or a member of my family needs specialty or major medical care?” state=closed]If you have health insurance, a health sharing or medical cost sharing plan: this is when insurance or health sharing / medical cost sharing will be useful to you. We are still your primary care physician and can coordinate care when necessary, and even do much of the necessary follow up care.
If you don’t have health insurance: we can still help you! As a member with us, we would help you navigate the healthcare system, even advising you how to negotiate medical bills and find the best care at the lowest possible price. We can often save you thousands of dollars as a self-pay patient – often less than if you were paying for insurance! If this is an attractive option for you, but you’d still love a little peace of mind when it comes to catastrophic events, then a health sharing ministry may be a great fit for you. Contact us for more details on those alternative plans.
In both cases, we can work to help you create a health plan that works best for you.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Can I purchase catastrophic insurance to pair with my membership?” state=closed]In short, yes. A High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) is the least expensive and closest thing you can purchase to what used to be known as ‘catastrophic health insurance.’
The better answer… let us help you find something that works well for you. Some people benefit from HDHP’s, and others might qualify and benefit from a health sharing ministry (a health insurance alternative). We’ve helped hundreds of people and businesses find a health plan that will save you money and offer even better benefits. Contact us for more information on which plan could be right for you. [/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”How does your counseling service work?” state=closed]Assurance Healthcare Membership includes unlimited use of any classes, workshops, or group therapy, and other various counseling components.
Each individual or couple desiring private counseling is encouraged to participate in our free Intro to Counseling workshop. After our intake sessions of $125, membership includes six (6) free counseling sessions for the lifetime of the membership (even if membership is cancelled or extends beyond one year), with additional visits being charged $50 per visit (subject to change). For more information visit our counseling page. [/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Do you require any long-term contracts?” state=closed]We require a 6 month commitment at the beginning of membership (not all due at once, but 6 monthly payments), and then membership is month-to-month after that.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”When can I sign up?” state=closed]Anytime! If you wish to wait until Dr. Vickers joins our clinic (early February), you are welcome to begin your membership at that time. If you would prefer to sign up now to have access to our other providers for urgent needs until Dr. Vickers arrives, you are welcome to sign up today![/accordion-item] [/accordion] Join Today!
