For some, the holiday season conjures up warm feelings and nostalgic memories. But for many, the holidays are not necessarily the most wonderful time of the year.
The holidays often cause excessive stress and can trigger a domino-effect of poor coping habits.
Join Holly Porter, our clinic psychotherapist, for a workshop on preserving your mental health during the holiday season. Perhaps with a different perspective and intentional coping strategies, you won’t have to just survive the holidays, you might even be able to appreciate them.
Do you want Holly to address a specific problem or question in the workshop? Comment in our RSVP form and she will do her best to anonymously address this concern.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is this group therapy?
No – this is a seminar, much more like a class. Holly may ask questions of the group, or ask people to practice exercises individually, but participation is optional. We only ask that you come prepared to listen and receive the information.
Can I bring my child(ren)?
Young adults (15+ y/o) are welcome to join (please complete the registration process). As we want to create as much of a distraction-free environment as possible, we appreciate you finding other care and accommodations for your younger children.
Can I invite my friend who is not a member?
We begin by offering our classes and workshops to members only. Should room be available 2-3 days prior to the seminar or workshop, then we allow non-members to join for a reasonable fee.
I can’t make this seminar, will there be more?
Yes! We’ll have more in the future. If you have any ideas on what kinds of seminars will be valuable to you (or a time that might work better), drop us a note via our contact form. We’d love to hear from you.
