Join Holly Porter, LMHC for an Anxiety Workshop, where she will explore some of the basic cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of anxiety.
We will talk through a variety of effective coping strategies and how to make them work best for you individually, including grounding exercises, mindfulness, sleep, and exercise.
And we’ll make sure to save time at the end for any of your questions!
We hope that by the end of the seminar, you will better understand your anxiety and have a personalized plan on how to better cope with your anxiety.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Is this group therapy?
No – this is a workshop, much more like a class. Holly may ask questions of the group, or ask people to practice exercises individually, but participation is optional. We only ask that you arrive online prepared to listen and participate in individual / non-public activities.
Is this an online event?
Yes, this workshop will be online. However, our online platform (Zoom) will be setup as a meeting rather than a webinar, so you will have the opportunity to turn on your camera and microphone in order to participate. Instructions will be sent after registration in order to protect your privacy.
Can my child(ren) attend?
Young adults (15+ y/o) are welcome to join (please complete the registration process).
Can I invite my friend who is not a member?
We are currently only providing this online class to current, active members with Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center.
I can’t make this online workshop, will there be more?
Yes! We’ll have more in the future. If you have any ideas on what kinds of seminars will be valuable to you (or a time that might work better), drop us a note via our contact form. We’d love to hear from you.
