Dr. Mindy Udell joined the Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center Team in February, 2018.
We’re so happy to have her on our team!
Dr. Udell grew up in Satus, attended St. Paul’s through 8th grade, then graduated from Davis High School. She then went to Central Washington University for her undergraduate degree, and on to Medical School at the UW.
She attended Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima for her residency, then stayed on as faculty afterward. As the Director of Student Education, chair of the Clinical Curriculum Committee, OB Curriculum lead, and many other positions, she has plenty of experience and knowledge in family medicine and Obstetrics.
If you ask her, she’s crazy about her husband and 4 kids, and chocolate and coffee. And chocolate and coffee. And chocolate and co… you get the picture 😉
In medicine, Dr. Udell loves preventative care, women’s health, Obstetrics, and encompassing the biopsychosocial model in medicine (the idea that our biology, mental health, and social health all play an intricate role with each other in our overall health).
Speaking of Obstetrics – we’re now offering pre-natal and delivery services with Dr. Udell at Assurance! More details to come on that… (hint: it’s going to be great, and very affordable… you’ll pay labs and ultrasounds at cost, plus a delivery fee of only $500, and membership covers everything else!)
Frequently Asked Questions…
Is Dr. Edgerly staying? Of course! We’re growing, and our goal has always been to have multiple physicians available for our members.
Can I keep Dr. Edgerly as my primary care physician? Absolutely. You are welcome to meet Dr. Udell to see if she is a good fit. But the choice is completely up to you.
Am I guaranteed to see my primary care physician? Yes, scheduled appointments will be made with your primary care physician (if you have a preference). However, in order to meet your urgent care needs (sickness or injury), we’ll schedule you with the soonest available physician. In other words, if you need to see us the same day for something, you’ll see the first physician available.
When are you accepting new patients for Dr. Udell? Right now! Anyone can join today and see Dr. Udell at her next available appointment.
I’m pregnant – will I have to pay extra to have Dr. Udell take care of my pre-natal and delivery needs? The only extra costs will be any necessary labs (at our cost), ultrasounds (at our cost), a $500 delivery fee, and potential other services outside of our clinic that come along with pregnancy. Membership throughout the pregnancy is required, but the cost does not increase. Babies get to join as members for the best rate available (see pricing page for details).
